Julia Matthews, (T’09) has spent the last nearly 20 years working at the intersection of strategy and equity, and now serves as the Head of the Environmental, Social, and Governance team at Peloton. She started her career as a middle school Teach For America teacher in the Bronx and moved to fundraising before heading into management consulting after Tuck. Julia worked as a consultant at Booz & Company and Columbia University’s Center for Public Research and Leadership and did strategy work for Relay Graduate School of Education. She managed the academic budget for Newark Public Schools before opening her own consulting practice. Julia earned her MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, her MS in teaching from Pace University, and her BA in International Relations from The University of Pennsylvania. She lives in Pennington, NJ with her husband Darius (T’09) and their three young sons.
